Round 17 Senior Review
Heading into the final part of our 2024 campaign, our Senior teams are pushing towards finals with the hopes of capturing their respective championships. Lets check how our teams faired this week at AWA and the surrounding stadiums.
Championship Men
A slow start for our men who were without head Coach O’Leary and key players Pat Goodier and Oscar Leavold, saw our Men trailing by double digits early in their matchup with the CC Eagles. A late push in the second quarter saw the Men even up the score, with a 36-13 fourth quarter blowing the game open for a big 21 point win.
Max Kos was great in this one with 36, While Evan Juros contributed 28 of his own.
The Men sit alone on the top of the ladder with 3 rounds to play.
Championship Women

Division 1 Men
It was a crucial 2 point win on Tuesday night for our Division 1 Men to tie themselves up with 4th placed YMCA on 35 points a piece, after escaping with a 54-52 point win against Sharks.
Young bigman Richard Emma-Nnopu was massive with 22 points to lead all scorers in this one, while Ronan Blythe contributed a solid 16 of his own.
Matching up with YMCA in round 17, it will be a must win for the men to have any shot of making the final 4.
Division 1 Women
It was a tough night out for our women against the top of the table Wildcats as they fell 28-50 at the Arena on Tuesday night. Dropping 14 in both halves, the Wildcats inside scoring was ultimately too much on the night.
Division 2 Women
Our Division 2 Women also suffered a tough loss to the Lara Giants in their round 17 matchup, going down 26-40 after a tough second half scoring the ball. Laura Gumienik led the team with 8 points who currently sit 6th on the ladder in last place.
