Championship Men
Pivot City 83 – 64 Sharks
Our Pivot City men have maintained their unbeaten streak for another week after a 19-point win over second-placed Sharks.
Coming out of the gates slow Sharks were able to pounce early to open up a 7-point lead halfway through the first quarter before the Pivot Men opened up the scoring to pull it within 3 to close the quarter out.
A stellar second quarter on the defensive end saw the Sharks be held to just 5 points while the Men were firing on all cylinders to outscore their opponents by 20 points claiming a 17-point first-half lead.
After a pep talk from coach O’Leary the Men continued to steady the ship as they maintained their lead with both teams walking to their huddles for 3 quarter time scoring 15.
Another even quarter saw a bit of a scare as Sharks youngster Malik Davis lit up the scoreboard in the second half for 7 threes, however, the veteran Pivot Squad was able to maintain the pace for a 19-point win.
Max Kos continued his great form with 21 points while Tyler Erard and Jason Reardon both chipped in 18 and 16 respectively to round out the attack with all 7 players hitting the scoreboard.
The Men will face title defenders in the Wildcats in round 5 as they look to make it 5-0 and stamp their spot on top of the ladder.

It was Eve Braslis once again lighting up the scoreboard in the Championship Women’s game as she went for 37 points to help the Women cruise to a 30-point win over the young Surfcoasters.
Locking in defensively early the Women were able to grab a 9-point lead heading into the quarter-time break which they were able to extend to 13 through the first half.
