Pivot City 99 – 86 CC Eagles
Pivot City have maintained its undefeated streak as they stretched it to a league-best 10-0 with a quality win over Christian College at AWA.
A close game throughout the first quarter saw the Pivot side go back and forth with the Eagles who kept pace to only be down 4 heading into the first break.
Cohen Blythe was electric in this one as he headlined the game with 36 points, while brother Ethan was also quality with 26.
Heading into the half Pivot were able to extend their lead by 1 to 5 points as the Eagles looked to score on the inside with their trio of bigs in the lineup.
A result-less third quarter ensued for both teams as both Pivot and the Eagles couldn’t stop each other to the tune of 28 points a piece.
Looking to keep their lead on the competition Pivot were not ready to lay down in this one as they came out firing to extend the lead to double digits early in the 4th as they held the Eagles to just 12 points in the final term.
Coming away 13-point winners the Pivot Men now sit clear with 30 points on the ladder as they head into their final game against the winless Tigers prior to their scheduled bye.

Pivot City 68 – 46 CC Eagles
Our Pivot Women had another quality win last night as they were also able to put away the CC Eagles to the tune of 22 points.
Starting the game out slow the Women were only able to gain a 3-point advantage a the first break as the Eagles were able to keep pace 16-13.
The second quarter saw some lockdown defence as the Women let only 7 points go through the net for the entire 10 minutes as they were able to extend their lead to 10 at the half.
The third quarter saw much of the same as the Pivot Women outscored the Eagles 21-12, doing most of their damage in the ‘championship quarter’ to gain the match-winning lead.
Cruising to the finish in the final 10 the defence was fierce, with no chance for the Eagles to make a dent in the lead, comfortably securing the teams 7th win, allowing them to keep pace with the league-leading Sharks.
Ella Tofaeono continued her fine NBL1 player of the week form with a team-high of 18, while Miley Dawkins and Evie Perez backed her up with 15 and 14 respectively.
