Round 8 Championship Review
Pivot City 103 – 81 Try Boys
The Pivot City Men have maintained their undefeated streak by trouncing the Try Boys Bears by 22 points on Tuesday night.
Starting the game off slow the Men were all offense but struggled to stop the scoring of the Bears as the first 10 minutes was only good enough for a 1-point advantage 24-23.
Coming alive in the second quarter the Men were able to extend the lead to 10 behind a well-rounded offensive attack with multiple players contributing on both ends.
The second half showed more signs of life for Pivot as they were able to extend the lead a further 8 points as they began to pull away with just 10 to go.
Connecting on 12 triples as a team, a relatively low number if the past 7 weeks is anything to go by, the team kept the Bears at bay to claim the 22-point win and retain their top spot on the ladder.
The Men will have their toughest challenge yet as they take on the YMCA Men who in Winter 2022 knocked out our Men in the first elimination final.
